RALEIGH, N.C. — The Raleigh City Council will hear Tuesday recommendations from the city manager totaling more than $500 million in major road construction projects for the state Department of Transportation.

Among the top 20 priorities for the city are widening Glenwood Avenue to six lanes from Duraleigh Road and Millbrook Road to T.W. Alexander Drive just beyond Brier Creek.

Another priority is a pedestrian bridge over Glenwood Avenue from Crabtree Valley Mall to the Marriott Hotel.

Hillsborough Street roundabouts are also on the list.

The City Council will decide which projects will ultimately go to the DOT for consideration.
