— Raleigh police have charged two suspects who they say shot each other Saturday night.

Police were surrounding a convenience store at 712 Rock Quarry Rd. at about 10 p.m. when they found Keon Demetrius Bascombe, 26, suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso.

Officers could be seen inside the store and talking to neighbors about the incident.

Less than 30 minutes later, police responded to a shooting at 1125 Capital Blvd., which is about a 10 minute drive from the Rock Quarry Road store. They found Roger Bryant Locklear, 28, suffering from a gunshot wound to his left leg. Both men were transported to WakeMed with non-life-threatening injuries.

A stolen firearm was seized at each shooting, police said.

According to officials, an investigation revealed that Bascombe and Locklear had shot each other in the 1300 block of Beauty Avenue and fled the scene.

Bascombe has been charged with two counts of attempted robbery, assault with a dangerous weapon inflicting serious injury, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a stolen firearm. Locklear has been charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a stolen firearm.
