Raleigh police searching for man who committed 2 armed robberies in 10 minutes

Raleigh police are reviewing surveillance footage after two armed robberies occurred minutes apart Sunday evening.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are reviewing surveillance footage after two armed robberies occurred minutes apart Sunday evening.

Authorities said that the first armed robbery occurred at a Shell Convenience Store at 1524 Wake Forest Road at 5:28 p.m.

A man wearing a white T-shirt over his face with holes cut out for his eyes fired one shot during the incident, Raleigh police said.

A second robbery occurred at a Corner Grocery Store at 1031 North King Charles Road at 5:37 p.m., police said.

Raleigh police said the two locations are about 1.5 miles apart and they believe both robberies were committed by the same person, who is described as being 5 feet, 5 inches tall with a medium build.

Nobody was injured during either incident, police said.
