Raleigh police link stolen trucks to theft of ATMs
Raleigh police have linked the theft of two trucks over the weekend to the removal of ATMs from two Coastal Credit Union branches.

Early Saturday, a police spokeswoman said, a truck stolen from the High Point area was used to vandalize an ATM outside the Coastal Credit Union on Wakefield Commons Drive. An investigation is ongoing into that attempted theft.
On Sunday, a truck stolen in Raleigh was linked to a similar theft at the credit union location in the 7400 block of Creedmoor Road.
The owner of the Raleigh stolen truck told WRAL News that his Ring camera shows his Chevrolet Silverado parked outside his Varnell Avenue home at 5:30 a.m. on Sunday morning and missing by 6:32 a.m. He reported it stolen that morning.
That truck was found, still chained to a damaged ATM, on Gatwick Court, about a third of a mile from the Creedmoor Road bank branch.
The owner shared photos with WRAL News that show the damage to his truck and the ATM.
