Raleigh police investigating downtown shooting

At approximately 5:34 a.m., Raleigh police say officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the 700 block of Tucker Street.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Raleigh Police Department is investigating a shooting in downtown Raleigh.

At approximately 5:34 a.m. Monday, Raleigh police say officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the 700 block of Tucker Street.

Upon arrival, officers located a man with a gunshot wound who was transported for treatment of his injuries.

Raleigh police say they are currently investigating the circumstances of this incident.
