Police are conducting what they say have described as a death investigation after receiving a report of a shooting in east Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Police are conducting what they say have described as a death investigation after receiving a report of a shooting in east Raleigh.
Details weren't immediately available Friday afternoon, but Laura Hourigan, a spokeswoman for the Raleigh Police Department, said officers were called around 2:30 p.m. to the 3300 block of New Bern Ridge Drive – just inside the Interstate 440 loop near New Bern Avenue.
Additional information would be provided as it became available, she said.
