Raleigh police investigating after man shot, drives self to hospital

Raleigh police said a man was shot Friday evening and then drove himself to the hospital.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police said a man was shot Friday evening and then drove himself to the hospital.

Detectives were at the 700 block of East Martin Street to a call of a shooting at around 6:17 p.m. An official from WakeMed called about a gunshot victim, saying a man drove himself to the hospital and came in with multiple gunshot wounds.

The man, who was not identified, was listed in serious condition.
