Man, 52, charged in fatal Raleigh stabbing

A 52-year-old Raleigh man has been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing that happened Monday night on Kent Road.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 52-year-old Raleigh man has been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing that happened Monday night on Kent Road. 

According to investigators, Michael Ray Evans, of 1323-C Kent Road, stabbed Jermaine Johnson at about 8 p.m. Johnson, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene following the incident.

Evans was charged with murder in Johnson's death, and he was in the Wake County jail early Tuesday. 

No other information about the incident has been released, but neighbors told WRAL there was an argument before the stabbing.
