Police are investigating a shooting death near the intersection of N. Tarboro Road and Oakwood Avenue late Friday.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — Police were investigating a shooting death near the intersection of North Tarboro Road and Oakwood Avenue late Friday.<br />

The shooting occurred at 321 N. Tarboro Road around 8:50 p.m., authorities said. <br />

Family members told WRAL the victim was a 16-year-old boy.

Investigators did not have any suspects and have not released more details about the shooting.
