Raleigh police investigate fatal shooting

Police were investigating the fatal shooting of a 32-year-old man Sunday evening just along the 2400 block of Melvid Court in Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Police were investigating the fatal shooting of a 32-year-old man Sunday evening just east of downtown Raleigh.

Shortly before 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 2400 block of Melvid Court. Upon arrival, officers found the body of Reginald Alton Dunn near the intersection of Melvid Court and Peyton Street, police spokesman Jim Sughrue said. 

Paramedics transported Dunn to WakeMed where he later died, Sughrue said.
