RALEIGH, N.C. — Police are investigating a suspicious fire in Raleigh on Sunday morning.

Emergency officials got a report of a fire on Summer Place around 10:30 Saturday night.

Police say someone tried to burn a woman's house down. The fire was extinguished, and the woman left the home for the night.

Police then said neighbors reported a fire at the same home around 2 a.m.

Firefighters again put out the flames, but the house sustained heavy damage. No one was injured. Fire crews said the house was not habitable.
