Raleigh police arrest two in connection with July homicide

The Raleigh Police Department has arrested two people in connection with a homicide that occurred in July.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Raleigh Police Department has arrested two people in connection with a homicide that occurred in July.

The incident took place on July 1, police responded to the 5400 block of Picket Fence Lane after receiving reports of shots fired into a building.

Responding officers observed several townhomes damaged by gunfire; however, there were no reports of injuries.

On July 3, Raleigh police responded to the exact location of a deceased person, Dexter Rashad Ingram.

Mr. Ingram, 28, was found in the area of the July 1 incident.

The RPD has determined that the two incidents are related.

Police arrested and charged Derashio Wilson, 27 and Lashanae Gee, 23 with murder.
