If you've ever signed up for a program through Raleigh parks' RecLink, you know it's not always the most user-friendly experience out there.

That is scheduled to change. The city announced this month that it will be launching a new online registration system on March 9 which, officials say, will be easier for people to use as they register for programs, classes or rentals.

As the city makes the transition, however, RecLink will not be available for online registration or account payments from Feb. 20 to March 8. Users are encouraged to register for upcoming programs by Feb. 19, according to a press release. All parks will remain open during this time, and you can contact parks for help if you'd like to register for a program while the system is down.

"We will do our best to minimize the impact on your park visits during this transition and look forward to providing you with a better online experience," the press release says.

More information about what to expect is on the city's website.
