Raleigh museum offers walking tour for kids

The Raleigh City Museum is leading a walking tour of Fayetteville Street for kids next month.

The hour-long tour at 2 p.m. April 10 will include all kinds of fascinating stories, including the tale of the search for Thomas Briggs' gold and the Governor's Mansion mystery. It's best for kids ages 6 and up and an adult.

It's free, but limited to the first 25 participants. Call (919)832-3775 ext. 23 to RSVP.

The museum is located at 220 Fayetteville St. and is open Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the museum and programs, which include regular events for kids, are free.
