Raleigh man wins $1 million lottery prize
A Raleigh man spent $10 on a lottery ticket this week and ended up winning the top prize.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man spent $10 on a lottery ticket this week and ended up winning the top prize.
According to the N.C. Education Lottery, Jimmy Davis purchased the winning MGM Resorts $25,000,000 Casino Cash ticket from the Asa Food Mart on Garner Road.
He claimed his prize Monday, choosing a lump sum and taking home $424,503 after taxes.
The game launched in June 2019 offering only three top prizes of $1 million. Since Davis won the last top prize, the lottery will begin steps to end the game.
