Raleigh man killed in wreck on I-540

A 24-year-old Raleigh man died early Friday after he lost control of his car and hit a guardrail while traveling eastbound on Interstate 540, state Highway Patrol officials said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 24-year-old Raleigh man died early Friday after he lost control of his car and hit a guardrail while traveling eastbound on Interstate 540, state Highway Patrol officials said.

Authorities said Patrick Raymond Lee was between Six Forks and Falls of Neuse Road around 12:30 a.m. when he lost control of his car. Troopers said speed was a factor in the wreck. 

No other information was released.
