A Raleigh man was killed Wednesday morning in a hit-and-run, according to the State Highway Patrol.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man was killed Wednesday morning in a hit-and-run, according to the State Highway Patrol.
Trenton Jerome Carpenter, 31, was walking west on Old Poole Road at about 9 a.m. when he was hit from behind by an unidentified vehicle near the Bethel Road intersection, authorities said.
Carpenter was pronounced dead at the scene.
