Raleigh man dies after being hit by truck on I-440
A male pedestrian was killed early Saturday morning walking on I-440 East between Six Forks Road and Wake Forest Road, authorities said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A man was killed early Saturday morning walking on Interstate 440 East between Six Forks Road and Wake Forest Road, authorities said.
Bruce Huffman Jr., 32, of Raleigh, was in one of the center lanes of I-440 when he was hit by a truck.
Officers responded to the area around 5 a.m. Saturday and closed I-440 East between the two major roads for about four hours.
Raleigh police detoured traffic around the accident for much of the early morning before reopening all lanes of traffic around 9:15 a.m.
