RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police said Tuesday that they have identified a suspect and are searching for him in connection with a late-night stabbing.

Laquan Leon Williams, 21, has been charged with murder in the death of Summer Robinson, 20.

Police were called around 10:30 p.m. to a home in the 4300 block of Skycrest Drive on a report of a stabbing. When officers arrived, they found Robinson's body.

Dustin Nguyen, who lives in the neighborhood, told WRAL News he was walking his girlfriend to her car when he saw two men and a woman arguing outside.

Nguyen said when the woman tried to drive away, one man put his arm through the window and stabbed her in the neck. Nguyen said the other man tried to stop him from hurting her.

Nyugen said he rushed over, took his shirt off and tried to apply pressure to her wounds while he called 911.

"She took two last gasps of air, but the next thing I knew, her arm was cold, and you could just see her eyes glaze over," he said. "It's something you won't forget. I just wish I could have saved her life."

Nguyen said the suspect fled the scene.

Police did not immediately say if Robinson knew Williams or disclose any information about the nature of their relationship.

Anyone with information on Williams' current whereabouts was asked to call Raleigh police.
