Raleigh man charged with sex offense against disabled person
A Raleigh man is facing charges after police say he had inappropriate sexual contact with a disabled person.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man is facing charges after deputies say he had inappropriate sexual contact with a disabled person.
Jerry Gilbert, 58, of 10504 Fanny Brown Road, was arrested Friday and charged with second-degree sexual offense. According to an arrest warrant, Gilbert engaged in the sex offense with someone who was "mentally incapacitated and physically helpless."
He was being held in the Wake County jail under a $150,000 bond and is due in court Monday.
