ROLLING FORK, Miss. (AP) — A powerful tornado cut a devastating path of at least 170 miles (274 kilometers) through parts of the Deep South on Friday night, killing at least 23 people in Mississippi and obliterating dozens of buildings as it stayed on the ground for more than an hour.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina State Treasurer Dale Folwell announced on Saturday he will run for governor in 2024, a bid that will likely require him besting Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson to earn the Republican nomination.

Police arrested a Raleigh man Wednesday on charges that he molested four children over a three-year period, according to arrest warrants.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — Police arrested a Raleigh man Wednesday on charges that he molested four children over a three-year period, according to arrest warrants.

Edgardo Ieno, 48, of 1129 Minnie Drive, was charged with four counts of indecent liberties with a child. He was being held in the Wake County jail under a $200,000 bond.

According to warrants, Ieno "did commit and did attempt to commit a lewd and lascivious act" on an 8-year-old, two 10-year-olds and a 12-year-old between May 2008 and Monday.
