Raleigh Man Charged in Connection With Puppy Beating

A Raleigh man is accused of beating a puppy.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man is accused of beating a puppy.

Sharify Willis, 27, was charged with cruelty to animals for striking the 12-week-old pit bull.

It happened Tuesday on Star Street.

Raleigh police said the puppy was not seriously injured.

It was not immediately known who owned the dog.

Willis was released from the Wake County Jail on a $1,000 bond.
