A 36-year-old Raleigh man who is accused of raping two children was being held in the Wake County jail on a $5 million bond Thursday, according to arrest warrants.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 36-year-old Raleigh man who is accused of raping two children was being held in the Wake County jail on a $5 million bond Thursday, according to arrest warrants.
Investigators say Anthony Hayes, of 1201 Silver Sage Drive, Apt. 308, sexually abused one of the children for nearly five years, beginning when the child was 8 years old.
He is accused of raping a 13-year-old in August 2008, according to the arrest warrants.
Hayes is charged with first-degree rape, statutory rape, first-degree sex offense with a child and indecent liberties with a child.
