Raleigh man accused of possessing counterfeit bills

Warrants show that Raleigh police found hundreds of counterfeit bills in the apartment of a man arrested on Friday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Warrants show that Raleigh police found hundreds of counterfeit bills in the apartment of a man arrested on Friday.

Jon Paul Baker, 29, of 2601-D Stewart Drive, was charged with felony possession of counterfeit instruments.

According to the arrest warrant, officers found more than 250 one-sided copies of $20 bills in Baker's apartment.

Baker was being held in the Wake County Jail under a $7,000 secured bond. His first court appearance was set for Monday afternoon.
