RALEIGH, N.C. — Dozens of firefighters worked to put out a large fire at a home on 1208 Thames Court in Raleigh early Saturday morning.

The owner of the home said family and friends were gathered on Friday night for a big 50th birthday celebration.

The party quickly turned into a disaster when the home caught on fire and was heavily damaged.

Officials said that 85% of the home was damaged by the fire. Crews worked at the scene for four hours.

No one was hurt, but three people were forced out of the home overnight.

The cause of the fire is unknown by investigators.
