WAKE FOREST, N.C. — Raleigh Hazmat crews filled streets of downtown Wake Forest on Tuesday night after power crews working on North White Street discovered an unknown liquid in the ground.

After investigating, Raleigh's Hazardous Response Unit tested the liquid and determined that was not hazardous. Power crews had been working to repair a power outage to the large CVS building which had resulted from the work of a construction crew on Tuesday.

Emergency crews cleared the scene at about 4 am.

Power has not yet been restored at the CVS near North White Street in downtown Wake Forest.
