RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police believe that the same armed two men robbed a Kangaroo gas station and a Food Lion store in less than an hour early Wednesday.

Police said the men stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the Kangaroo station at 3289 Avent Ferry Road around 6 a.m.

About 45 minutes later, two Food Lion employees told police that two men carrying a handgun approached them while they were taking a break outside the store at 5426 Six Forks Road. The women said the men ordered them to get the manager, who opened the safe. The men fled after stealing an undisclosed amount of money.

No one was injured, police said.

The gunmen at Food Lion had du-rags covering their faces and wore black pants. One wore an orange hoodie, and the other wore a gray hoodie.
