Raleigh father charged with murder in baby's death
A Wake County grand jury has indicted a Raleigh father on murder in the death of his 11-month-old son, who died Oct. 8.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — A Wake County grand jury has indicted a Raleigh father on murder in the death of his 11-month-old son, who died Oct. 8.
Demetrius Lashawne Morant, 29, was previously charged with felony child abuse inflicting serious injury after his son sustained multiple injuries last December.
Jrue Morant, who was just shy of his first birthday, died as a result of his injuries from last December. Police would not say what injuries he suffered.
Demetrius Morant was being held in the Wake County jail without bond.
