RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh convenience store clerk has been charged in the July shooting death of a man he said tried to rob the store.

A Wake County grand jury on Monday indicted Ramy Ramsis Hanna, 47, on a charge of voluntary manslaughter.

The body of Derrick Malik Wiley, 21, was found on July 14 in the 4200 block of Waterbury Road, off New Hope Church Road just west of Capital Boulevard.
