RALEIGH, N.C. — Residents on Sunnybrook Road in Raleigh are frustrated after an overnight crash damaged their property -- again.

Neighbors who live along a sharp curve on Sunnybrook Road say crashes are an all-too-familiar sight along their street.

In the latest crash, which police say occurred Thursday around 12:30 a.m., residents said a car first hit a ditch before landing on the driveway of a home.

"We heard this loud noise," said Margie Forest, who has lived on Sunnybrook Road for 55 years. "It sounded like something turned over on the deck -- the young lady looked like she was in bad shape."

Forest said accidents like this are on the rise -- this is the third mailbox she’s lost to an accident in just three months.

The driver and passengers were injured, and crews took at least one person to the hospital. Their conditions have not been released.
