Raleigh, Cary council candidates to speak at forums

Raleigh and Cary voters will get a chance to hear from candidates for city councils at two forums.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh and Cary voters will get a chance to hear from candidates for city councils at two forums.

Candidates for the Raleigh City Council will speak Thursday at Temple Beth Orr, 5315 Creedmoor Road. The forum runs 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The Cary forum will be held Sept. 23 at Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church, 200 High Meadow Drive, beginning at 7 p.m.

Candidates are expected to talk about growth, drinking water supply, transit, housing and infrastructure funding.

The forums are sponsored by WakeUp!, the League of Women Voters of Wake County and The Raleigh Downtowner.
