RALEIGH, N.C. — The weather on Monday won't be pleasant, with unseasonably cool temperatures and spotty rain. But, according to WRAL meteorologist Mike Moss, the rest of the week will be warm and dry, signaling spring's true arrival.

According to Moss, the Triangle will mainly see rain during the mid-morning and late afternoon. "Areas south and east of Raleigh have a better chance of rain at times today, perhaps a 40 to 50 percent chance," said Moss.

Temperatures will be cool in Raleigh, topping off in the low 50s Monday afternoon, before a big warm-up arrives Tuesday.

7-Day Forecast

Wednesday and the days to follow will be even warmer, with highs in the 70s on Thursday and the 80s on Friday and Saturday. Though skies may be partly cloudy all week, Moss said there is not a big chance for rain.
