RALEIGH, N.C. — Rain on Wednesday morning will be fairly light and short-lived, according to Elizabeth Gardner, ahead of a cold front that will plunge Thursday's high by as much as 10 degrees.

A band of light rain will move through the Triangle most of the morning, so you'll want to grab an umbrella, said Gardner. By 10 a.m., the rain is expected to move southeast out of the Triangle.

Highs on Wednesday will be in the low 70s ahead of a cold front that will drop Thursday's high by 10 degrees.

Thursday will be one of the coolest days of the week, with a fall-like high of 62 degrees and 50-degree temperatures felt for much of the day.
