Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — The clouds and rain of Saturday made way for clearer skies and warmer temperatures Sunday.
Some rain was in the forecast for Sunday night, but it will dry out and remain that way for the work week.
The Triangle and surrounding areas will see partly cloudy skies and temperatures rising to the mid- to upper 60s by Friday.
As the weekend comes, so does the rain, but temperatures will remain near the upper 60s.
Rainfall totals from Saturday ranged from three-quarters of an inch to nearly 1.5 inches across the Triangle. Greenville received over 2.5 inches of rain yesterday.
