<b>RAEFORD, N.C.</b> — A Raeford man was killed early Saturday morning following two separate crashes.

Authorities said Richard Daryll Byrd, 55, exited his vehicle after being involved in a crash on N.C. Highway 211.

While outside his vehicle, Byrd was struck and killed by another car, troopers said.

Authorities did not say what caused the initial crash or if charges will be filed.
