Raeford man arrested for robbery, assault
A Raeford man assaulted a woman Monday in the parking lot of the Food Lion at 200 W. Cole Ave, police said.
Posted — UpdatedRAEFORD, N.C. — A Raeford man assaulted a woman Monday in the parking lot of the Food Lion at 200 W. Cole Ave, police said.
Officers arrested Jordache Waddell Leach, 27, of the 300 block of Stubbs Road, and charged him with common law robbery, possession of stolen property, assault with a deadly weapon and assault on a female.
They said he grabbed Cindy Price, 24, outside the store, dragged her for about 25 feet and stole her purse. She suffered scrapes to her knees, feet and hips, but did not require medical attention.
Leach was being held on $40,000 bond.
