<b>RAEFORD, N.C.</b> — A Hoke County infant sustained severe injuries to the face following a dog bite.

The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the 100 block of Falling Leaf Drive in Raeford on Wednesday.

The baby was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and the dog is in the possession of Hoke County Animal Control.
