Race Car Driver Injured Brother in Accident at Drag Strip

Investigators said the vehicle was doing a "burnout," which means the driver was getting the wheels hot for an upcoming race. The car spun out of control, and the driver struck his brother who was standing next to a guardrail.
The brother underwent surgery to his head at WakeMed, troopers said.
He suffered lacerations to his head and a shoulder injury, but was alert and talking to troopers at the hospital Saturday night.
Authorities have not released the men's names, per the family's request.
