GATE CITY, VA. — A Virginia officer's quick action likely prevented his own coworker from getting seriously hurt.

Dash camera footage showed Gate City Police Officer Jessica McGraw and Officer Matthew Stewart at the scene of a crash investigation.

Then, an out-of-control driver started to slide into the patrol cruiser.

Stewart was able to grab McGraw and move her to safety.

McGraw did get a minor injury to her leg, which she described as "having a bad Charley horse."

McGraw and Stewart said after they made sure everyone was OK, they cited the out-of-control driver for failure to maintain proper control.
