Questlove to perform a free show at Moogfest

Questlove will be performing a free concert, in addition to his ticketed set at the festival in Durham this weekend.

Questlove will be performing a free concert, in addition to his ticketed set at Moogfest this weekend.
The drummer and frontman of The Roots will be performing a DJ set on Saturday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at American Tobacco Campus' The Cage as part of the Modular on the Spot picnic.

Other free programming at Moogfest includes:

  • Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Quarterhorse with Mamis and the Papis, the Conjure and Party Illegal. The fun continues at Quarterhorse 5 to 8 p.m. with Micromachines featuring a crew of micro-gadget wielding artists.
  • Free programming at Quarterhorse concludes on Saturday with beat maker collective Raund Haus and Raleigh-based company Erogenous Tones who will present a journey into visual synthesis.
  • On Saturday, the ATC Cage will host the workshop Digital Making Playground with David Woodbury and Adam Rogers from 10:30 am to 12:30 p.m.
  • A screening and discussion of "What is Democracy?" will be presented at the Full Frame Theatre from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Half of the tickets for the screening will be offered for free on a first come, first served basis.
Locals still wishing to still get tickets to Moogfest can do so at a discount. The festival is offering passes for $200 for those with a valid Triangle region ID. Student tickets are also on sale for $149.
