Four puppies found in a suitcase on the side of the road are closer to finding loving new homes.



According to Guilford County Animal Services, someone saw the suitcase moving on the side of the road and stopped to take a look. Four puppies were inside, and the suitcase was almost fully zipped.

"They were shocked as to what they found, and immediately brought them to the shelter," officials wrote.

The puppies will receive veterinary care before they are able to be adopted.

"Shout out to all the Good Samaritans who take the time to help animals in need," Guilford County Animal Services posted on Facebook.
