SEAGROVE, N.C. — You can find ceramic gourds, pottery pumpkins and other fall decorations each Saturday in October in Seagrove, the pottery capital of the United States.
Some pumpkins can last for a very long time, becoming keepsakes and heirlooms. Such is the case with the exquisite pottery pumpkins that can be found on the Potters’ Pumpkin Patch Trail in Seagrove.

Participating Seagrove Potters studios and shops are Seagrove Stoneware Pottery, Blue Hen Pottery, Thomas Pottery, The Triangle Studio and Crystal King Pottery.

Remaining dates are Saturday, Oct. 22, and Saturday, Occt. 29. Each individual shop will have a different focus on theme; all of them offer unique pottery pumpkins.

Visitors will also find fall designs such as ceramic gourds, woodland creatures, autumn leaf pottery, scented candles, home décor and more. Some studios will be doing demonstrations.

Gourds will be on display at Erin Younge’s Gourd Garden at The Triangle Studio. Participating shops are also open throughout the week.

Known as the pottery capital of the U.S., Seagrove is home to more than 50 pottery studios spread out over a 20-mile radius through country roads and farmland. Seagrove is a short drive from Charlotte and close to Asheboro in the Heart of North Carolina.
Maps and event lists for each location are available at any one of the shops. For more information and beautiful photos, visit the Potters' Pumpkin Patch website.
