RALEIGH, N.C. — Pullen Park recently updated its schedule for when its rides — the carousel, train and kiddie boats — run. Here's when they are open:

Pullen Carousel

  • 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays
  • 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays

Pullen Train

  • 11 a.m. to 6 p.m, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
  • 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays

Kiddie Boats

  • 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesdays

In the past, you've always been able to purchase tickets from cashiers at the park. But the city says they may not be available all the time. If you want to ride the rides, you are "strongly encouraged" to get them online in advance on RecLink.

Also, the city asks park patrons to expect extended wait times during peak hours at the park, which typically are on the weekends. A mask will be required when riding the carousel and is strongly suggested at all other times, according to the city.

More information, including how to get tickets online, is on the city's website. Tickets are $1.50 each.

Pullen Park is at 520 Ashe Ave., Raleigh.
