RALEIGH, N.C. — Pullen Park is observing Pi Day and St. Patrick's Day with a couple of free, drop-in activities for kids.
Here's what's planned:
Pi Day at Pullen Park
Pullen Park will mark Pi Day, which is, of course celebrated on March 14, AKA 3/14, with an educational scavenger hunt through March 14.
Here's the description:
You'll learn all about Pi, circumference, and other math topics as you walk around Pullen Park. Pick up your Pi Day packet with the first clue at the ticket office and complete the rest of the hunt to win a prize at the end. This is a self-guided activity and is best for ages 8-13 years old.
Shamrocks and Shenanigans
And from March 15 to March 21, the park near downtown Raleigh will be hosting this St. Patrick's Day celebration, which includes an scavenger hunt for a gold prize.
Here's the description:
Dress up as a leprechaun if you're on Team Shamrock and dress up as a pirate for Team Shenanigans. The Pullen Park team will be keeping score on which team finishes with the most gold at the end. Come to the Pullen Amusements ticket office to pick up your scavenger hunt materials and turn in your final clue for your gold prize!
If you go, know that Pullen Park's train will be closed for maintenance through March 15 and the carousel is closed because of COVID safety measures.
The park is at 520 Ashe Ave., Raleigh.
