RALEIGH, N.C. — A prostitution deal gone bad led to a carjacking and kidnapping in Raleigh early Saturday, police said.

Two men propositioned a woman, who went to grab something from her car, police said. She came back with two other men, and a fight ensued.

Police said that the men, accompanied by the woman, grabbed one of the two who had propositioned her. They threw him in his SUV and drove off, but he managed to jump out and escape, police said. He suffered only minor bruises.

A cell phone and $700 were taken from the men who propositioned the woman, police said.

Police were searching for the victim's four-door Chevrolet Tahoe, with licence plate WTJ-1947. It was last seen going south on Atlantic Avenue.
