Just a quick update on the latest on the proposed children's museum for downtown Cary.

The group is hoping to win a $25,000 grant from the national Pepsi Refresh Community Challenge this month. The museum would focus on science, technology, engineering and math. Read my earlier post from a bit more information about the project.

There are a variety of ways to support this project and vote. The top 15 projects will get $25,000 based on the most votes.

Here's how I'm told you can vote: By going to www.refresheverything.com/carykidsmuseum, voting on Pepsi's Facebook page, and texting your vote. Online, you are allowed five votes per day, but only one per project/idea. If you have a Power Votes code off of a Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, or Pepsi Max, your vote will count for either 5, 10, 20, 50 , or 100 votes. You can enter 10 Power Votes per day.

If you text a vote, text to Pepsi (73774) the number 108568. You can text 1 vote per day. Standard text rates apply.

For more about the proposed museum, check out its website.
