Project Enlightenment, the early child education and intervention program near downtown Raleigh, is bringing back Block Fest later this month.
The free program, an award-winning early childhood math and science event created by the University of Idaho Parents as Teachers Program, teaches parents about why it is important for kids to play with blocks. It's designed for kids ages 6 and under.
I went last year with my then two-year-old and we had a great time. Read my post from last year. I highly recommend this program, which is free and open to the public. Registration is a must. The program is scheduled for 11 a.m., Nov. 30, and 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., Dec. 3.
For details and to register, go to Project Enlightenment's website.
