FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County Sheriff's detectives were searching Friday for a Sampson County man accused of raping a 13-year-old girl.

Tyler Jamarr Wortham, 26, of 225 Sunshine Lake in Clinton, is wanted on multiple counts of statutory rape, taking indecent liberties with a minor, crimes against nature and statutory sex offense.

Investigators said Wortham forced the girl to take money from an ATM and then drove her to a motel in Fayetteville. The girl told police she was forced to engage in sexual acts with Wortham on Wednesday and Thursday.

Wortham is described as as a black man, with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds.

Anyone with information about Wortham's whereabouts should contact the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at 910-323-1500 or the anonymous TIPSLINE at 910-484-8433.

Wortham was placed on probation last November for a common-law robbery conviction in Sampson County, according to state Department of Correction records.
