RALEIGH, N.C. — Scattered storms and rain are likely Friday, but, overall, the weather this weekend should be close to perfect.

According to Elizabeth Gardner, there is a chance for hit-and-miss showers and thunderstorms all day, but that chance decreases overnight.

Saturday should be clear and beautiful, with highs in the low 80s and plenty of sunshine, and Sunday will be very similar to Saturday.

It's a big weekend for festivals in the Triangle, and, though you'll want an umbrella on hand Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be perfect for outdoor events.

Looking ahead to next week, it will still feel -- and look -- a lot like summer, according to Gardner. Leaves in the Triangle might turn colorful late this year because it has been so warm. There is not a major threat for rain next week.
