Raleigh, N.C. — Bridge repairs on the U.S. Highway 64 bridges over Jordan Lake are scheduled to begin Thursday.
Contractors will be working to preserve the 49-year-old bridges. Officials believe the repairs should keep them in good shape for another 25 years.
Drivers should expect traffic to shift to one lane in both directions through the work zone. Lanes will be open holidays and holiday weekends.
Delays are expected to last several months. Crews hope to have everything finished by September.
Road construction back in 2018 led to major delays, so be sure to plan extra time between Apex and Pittsboro.
